Founded in 1851, The Prince Alfred has been serving the fine folk of London for 169 years.
Although much has changed in terms of the decor and the local area, one thing remains the same since their opening day, their fame for serving a wide selection of lagers and ales, London gins and of course their amazing menu of classic British pub food with their own little signature twist.
The key to their longevity is their steadfast dedication to delivering a great British pub experience, from welcome, service to the food and drinks you consume.
The upstairs Sofa Bar is a great space to chill out with friends, private events such as meetings and presentations - or even for special occasions. Whilst you can get that homely feel by cosying up against the fireplace in the ground floor bar.

The Sofa Bar at The Prince Alfred is our 1st floor private function room that is available for private hire. This exceptional space benefits from an unprecedented amount of natural light from the large windows overlooking the main thoroughfare of Bayswater and is a popular choice for daytime training, product launches, meetings and presentations as well as evening social events such as parties, drinks and social work functions. Accessed by stairs from the main bar, the Sofa Bar benefits from having it's own bar, private toilets and access to the roof terrace which is exclusive to any groups that privately hire this space. There is also a TV available. |

Available for daytime hire at significantly discounted rates, the room benefits from its own toilets, bar and TV. The room itself benefits from a huge amount of natural daylight and can comfortably accommodate 10 to 60 guests for this type of occasion and still offers additional room for refreshments or breakout space if and when required. Should you also require flip charts, pens or any other stationery for the day, please let us know and we would be happy to arrange this for you. Only available weekdays until 5pm. |
