The Orient Express: A Culinary Voyage
This Chinese New Year Dinner Ladies are taking their annual party to a bold new level.
Embark on a totally immersive dining experience as you board the Orient Express and allow your senses to be aroused by the food, flavours and experiences of travelling through four very different provinces in China.
Arriving first in Beijing, a smog filled and crowded Hutong alleyway awaits you, mirroring the hustle and bustle of the capital city. You are hit with the smells, colours and tastes of real street eats as your first greet to the East.
After a dramatic arrival, you are ushered by pushy market sellers to the Yunnan province, known to China as the Spring City. Take a giant breath of fresh air amidst the snow-capped mountains, rice terraces, lakes and deep gorges of South-West China. This room is a palatte cleanser of foraged and sustainable foods you are unlikely to have tried before.
Next, a lavish banquet table filled with a fiery feast awaits you. The bold, piquant and punchy flavours of the Sichuan province will leave a tingly aniseed heat explosion in your mouth.
This should give you enough fire in your belly to enter our Shanghai speakeasy to try our prohibition tipples and experience more surprise encounters. In this city that never sleeps, you can party well into the night on the underground scene.
