What they say:
The lads behind The Hill & Szrok’s second site are looking to create a classic British pub feel, with an old-school chophouse vibe in the separate dining room. Having excelled at their Broadway Market location - which sometimes struggled to cope with the huge demand for tables - Luca Mathiszig-Lee, Tom Richardson-Hill and Alex Szrok bring a menu of top quality free range meats and traditional British ales to this larger site, situated just off Old Street roundabout.
What we say:
Naturally, you’ll need to indulge in the various meaty delights that will be on show at The Hill & Szrok. Spit-roasting pig, lamb and chicken via the charcoal grill, the dining room’s nose-to-tail menu ensures no part of the animal is wasted, and a spread of pork pies, sausage rolls and scotch eggs make up the bar snacks selection. Carnivores can pop next-door for a tipple after dinner, where they’ll likely be joined by a good spread of tech city’s after-work crowd heading in for a quick drink before catching the tube home.
