From the team behind The Earlsfield in Wandsworth, and the Cattle Grid restaurants comes a new venue. Based in the heart of Southwark, just a short walk from The Old Vic this two-level pub and restaurant will serve pub classics and all the steaks, burgers and ribs you've come to expect from Cattle Grid. Upstairs will be a cocktail bar, serving a selection of starters and sharing plates including pork belly tempura and burrata with nettle pesto.
What we say:
Intended to be not just a gastropub, but also a sports bar, cocktail bar, disco, live music venue and brunch hangout, forthcoming venue The Charlotte has not cut itself a lot of slack. The pub, located on the site formerly held by the Union Theatre (worry not theatre fans, the Union has only moved up the road), is owned by the team behind Wandsworth favourite The Earlsfield and will no doubt draw in the post-work and football crowds, as well as the the theatre goers that frequent the area.
