Regional winner of the Morning Advertiser's 2011 Great British Pub Awards and runner-up as 'best place to drink in the UK' in the Observer's 2010 Food Monthly Awards, The Black Dog has become a celebrated and esteemed pub in the Vauxhall area. Originally a glass factory, this pub has witnessed incredible changes in the last few years, becoming an ultra-modern and trendy venue. Designed by an award winning interior designer, who has maintained some of its key features such as the wood panelling and the bar, yet adding two antique chandeliers and restoring a fan window behind the bar.
Largely driven by beer and wine, they possess a range of ales and continental beers whilst their wine list may be short, but is a nonetheless meticulous selection. Offering a variety of international food, expect everything from albondigas, to sea bass fillet and full english breakfasts in ever changing daily menus.
Since its renovation in 2010, it has grown to become of one the most appreciated venues in the Vauxhall area, bringing a vast range of clientele but be prepared for busy crowds due to its increasing popularity.
