Description
In The Dog & Fox you have one of the Young's Brewer's oldest London pubs situated at the hub of Wimbledon village. Since 1834 this drinking-hole has been a stronghold for real ales and quality British food and even played it's part in the defence against the Napoleonic advance in 1797.
Thankfully we don't have to worry about that today and while other pubs have fallen to the siege of foreign cuisine and 'over chefing' The Dog & Fox has maintained it's grip on serving quintessentially British delicassies like Potted Wild Hare and West Country Steak. There is Coq au Vin on the menu also but served with a Pacific twist that only goes to celebrate the glories of old Blighty.
Being a family pub you can expect classics such as Bangers & Mash on the children's menu all to be enjoyed at affordable prices in the comfortable surroundings of the simple yet quirky décor that you can also hire out for private-parties. There's even a beer garden that that plays host to fantastic summer BBQ's so why not head down for a bite of Britain?

The Dog & Fox London - Pub Review
The Dog & Fox has always been a good pub, but leaning more towards the fun side. After a big recent refurbishment however, I’d been told it had taken on a more of a refined approach, I was desperate to see the transformation, so I decided to make the trip to Wimbledon Village. The Venue The…
