Quaglino's

One of the best known restaurants in the city, where even the Queen has dined, Quaglino's is a high-end destination in the West End. Expect gorgeous dark red and gold interiors, with a grand stage covered by elegant velvet curtains, with a cocktail menu that's been in the works since 1929.

They're hosting a masquerade ball for New Year's Eve, with the option to enjoy an early dinner or book a main sitting to attend the party too. Prices start from £150 per person, with dishes including chicken liver parfait, pumpkin and ricotta tortelloni and juniper-smoked Highland venison fillet.

Auberge

Looking at restaurants open for New Year's Eve in London? Taking bookings for their festive menu on 31st December 2024 is Auberge, the French restaurant with a roof terrace conveniently located just a short distance from Waterloo Station and South Bank. Its interiors are rich, with dark blue walls and dangling pendant lighting, setting the scene for an elegant meal with your friends.

Three courses set you back a very reasonable £34.95 per person, spanning the likes of traditional bœuf bourguignon, deep-fried Camembert with redcurrant jelly and gooey chocolate fondant.

The Candlelight Club

1920s-themed The Candlelight Club is a dinner event harking back to the Prohibition era, complete with live music throughout your meal.

There's a four-course set menu up for grabs for £65 each, as well as the chance to add on bottomless drinks from 8 to 11pm for £50 each (you'll also be able to bag access to the main party afterwards for an extra fee). To dine, drink and dance your way into 2025, there's no better place, especially when dessert involves a chocolate and raspberry pot.

PJ’s Chelsea Brasserie

It's a quintessentially British sanctuary; with its enviable location overlooking the private gardens of Bedford Square, this boutique gem marries old-world charm with modern luxury.

14 Hills

Fancy dining on the top floor of a botanical restaurant for the best New Year's Eve dinner in London? Then you're in luck because the foliage-adorned 14 Hills is throwing a celebratory bash to remember, complete with panoramic views and music courtesy of guest DJ Shaqdi, who will be spinning 80s and 90s tracks. 

Chomp on five luxurious courses for £90 or a six-course tasting menu for £160, including Dexter ribeye with celeriac and brie pithivier and black truffle jus, or Cornish crab alongside a potato cannelloni. Feeling that extra bit fancy? Treat yourself to a wine pairing for an additional £150 per person.

The Rugby Tavern

Old Compton Brasserie

Celebrate New Year's Eve with an Italian feast from Azzurro, which is right on the edge of South Bank - perfect for being right among it when you want to watch the famous midnight fireworks.

The New Year's Eve menu (£110 per person, including a glass of champagne) offers a choice of starters including burrata with roasted butternut squash, chilli, pumpkin seed, and rocket leaves and oak smoked salmon with rye bread. Then, move on to the likes of roast half chicken with wild mushroom, truffle mash, broccoli, and red wine sauce. Delicious.

The MAINE Mayfair

Ring in 2025 with The MAINE Mayfair's signature flair at their glitz-and-glamour extravaganza. Hutong

Ever wanted to head up The Shard on New Year's Eve 2024? Now's your chance with modern Chinese restaurant Hutong's offering. Located on the 33rd floor of London's iconic building, it provides a unique blend of breathtaking views and authentic interiors. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline, including landmarks like the Thames, Tower Bridge, and the London Eye - perfect for watching the city's world-famous fireworks display at midnight.

Indulge in the likes of truffle arancini, oven-baked prawns in a creamy 'nduja sauce with datterini tomato and Amalfi lemon, lobster ravioli served in a rich butter emulsion with Amalfi lemon and more. Dessert lovers can delight in a choice of Italian classics, including velvety tiramisù dusted with Valrhona cocoa. For those looking to elevate the evening, guests can opt for free-flowing Champagne (£40 each) to toast the new year in sparkling style.

The Portrait By Richard Corrigan

The Portrait By Richard Corrigan will mark the festive season with an exceptional dining experience, live music, and breathtaking views of London's iconic fireworks. For lunch, guests can choose from a two or three-course menu, showcasing the restaurant's beloved autumn and winter dishes. Highlights include Bayonne ham with romaine, romesco, and Parmesan, as well as a fillet of beef accompanied by crispy potatoes, spinach, and peppercorn sauce.

As midnight approaches, diners will indulge in a four-course feast crafted by Corrigan. Sexy Fish London, the iconic destination in Berkeley Square, is celebrating the festive season with 'Sexy Fishmas.' OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie

Head to the OXO Tower for New Year's Eve 2024 for its biggest party ever as it runs dazzling packages across its bar, brasserie and restaurant. The brasserie will feature live music from 7.30pm followed by a DJ until 2am, and three-course dinners starting from £250 per person, accompanied with a glass of Harvey Nichols Champagne on arrival.

For a fancy affair, enjoy a £350 set menu paired carefully with wines in the restaurant. Think truffle burrata to start, followed by lobster risotto, beef fillet with oyster mushroom, and an English sparkling panna cotta for dessert. 

Bacchanalia

A luxury restaurant in the heart of Mayfair, Bacchanalia is a gorgeous destination filled with opulent marble statues, high ceilings and touches of gold decor throughout. Inspired by Greek and Roman mythology, you'll find themed artwork on the walls and ceilings, as well as a Mediterranean menu of salt-crusted sea bass, pumpkin risotto and truffle tagliatelle.

This year, they're offering dinner in both the main restaurant and on the mezzanine, starting from £250 per person. Bookings after 8.30pm guarantee a space at the afterparty, complete with live DJ sets, complimentary cocktails and a buzzing atmosphere.

Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay

Owned by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, Lucky Cat in Mayfair is a stylish restaurant inspired by the bars of 1930s Tokyo. Both an authentic Asian eatery and a late-night cocktail lounge, the sultry space is filled with dark furnishings and touches of gold throughout. 

This New Year's Eve, you can enjoy the likes of wagyu sirloin, tofu and spicy avocado bao or California rolls on an extensive list of pan-Asian eats from 6pm. Fancy a tipple? Pair your feast with cocktails from their 9 Lives menu until 7pm, which includes mixes such as the Lychee Daisy for just £9.

Rita's Soho

Rita's, the beloved Soho gem with its Dalston roots, is wrapping up 2024 in style with a special New Year's Eve service, running from 12.30pm to 7pm. 

For £90, you'll enjoy a festive set menu featuring indulgent dishes like Orkney scallops, grilled monkfish with butter sauce, and barbecued duck with Agen prunes, alongside Rita's fan-favourite classics such as Buffalo fried chicken and deviled eggs. Naturally, the signature Mini Martini with a jalapeño popper Gilda will kick off the feast, perfectly complemented by bar expert Missy's expertly chosen wine pairings.
