Description
Anokha means unique in Hindi. Taking over a historic grade II listed building that was once a tea warehouse owned by the legendary East India Company, this is a unique restaurant in the heart of the City.
You wouldn't know from the outside, but as soon you go down the grand staircase, the splendour of Anokha awaits you. A 10-metre-long bar decorated in backlit Onyx and luxury furnishing give a high-end look, with decor that is contemporary yet has the identity of Indian ethnicity.
Anokha is famous for its shahi gosht biryani which is a lamb dish, slow-cooked with basmati rice. Their onion bhaji is totally unique, and while they serve the classic dishes on their menu, the kitchen is known for specialties. Don't miss the extensive vegan menu; the team have recreated some of the nation's favourites such as chicken tikka masala and lamb rogan josh in plant-based options. They have an extensive selection of wines and spirits, with lovely cocktails and mocktails too.
