Tucked away on Islington’s Camden Passage is The Breakfast Club, a renowned spot for brunch. It was born from two friends' desire to open a cafe that would sling out comfort food and make people feel right at home, wherever they were. After buying and painting a small deli egg yolk yellow in 2005, they've since grown with outposts all over the UK, including this little gem. 

The second addition to The Breakfast Club family, the Angel branch opened in 2007 and, just like the original Soho haunt, it’s pretty damn cosy, with weekend brunches taking place until 5pm on Saturdays. Expect to tuck into huevos rancheros, made with chorizo or a vegan alternative, served with fried eggs and a grilled quesadilla filled with red Leicester cheese. Its signature sandwich is a favourite, boasting two soft buns layered with a sausage patty, crispy bacon, American cheese, a fried egg and a good splash of ketchup.

For drinks, this retro-style cafe serves cocktails like salted caramel espresso martinis, as well as refreshing smoothies, such as 'greens', made with mango, avocado, banana, apple, spinach and lemon.
