Description
The Islington Townhouse has opened up in Angel, taking over the former building of Round Midnight. Run by The Hippo Group, the pub has three floors, including an upstairs area that can be hired privately. The decor follows a theme of traditional English pub with a few eclectic touches; there's a chandelier made from TUC crackers and a newspaper-covered mannequin.
The menu is composed of small plates and pub classics at affordable prices. Burgers and fish and chips are both £6, while the sharing plates include dishes such as twice-baked Gruyere souffle and gin-cured salmon.
The beer and ales come from local London breweries and include favourites such as Brewdog and Beavertown. There's also a selection of new and old world wines as well as a select cocktail list.
