The food baby of founder Rosie Whaley, Pi Woodfired began life in 2014 in Winchester. Serving up the finest 20-inch pizzas in Hampshire, the restaurant specialises in interesting, artisanal toppings such as ham, mushroom and artichoke hearts, and a mouthwatering cauliflower cheese and chorizo. They offer a selection of meat and vegetarian pizzas, as well as a range of delicious starters such as tuna carpaccio, and mushroom bruschetta.
The result of a crowdfunding campaign, the Battersea Rise location is the first London opening for Pi, which until now has only traded at the original Winchester site. Whaley's aim is that the company will raise the £500,000 needed to open three 50-60 capacity sites across South London.
Located on the site formerly held by Scoffers Kitchen, Pi will join a number of other great eateries on Battersea Rise's restaurant strip, including Pho, BabaBoom and The Breakfast Club.
