Less than a 15 minute walk from Borough, Bermondsey Street's newest ramen bar, Hakata, is doing Japanese cuisine a little differently. Putting itself somewhere between a Tokyo dive bar and New York-style speakeasy, the cocktail selection here is top notch. From a yuzu-laced mojito to negroni with a plum sake kick, you'll be well sorted for innovative sips.
As for the food, the restaurant serves up a range of different ramens, including the always-popular tonkotsu, as well as a range of smaller plates that will have diners chowing down on everything from gyoza and chicken wings, to bao buns and katsu sandos.
