Miusan is the latest venture by Cottons owner, Chris Singam. The venue is spread over three floors which include a bar on the ground floor, a basement nightclub and a mezzanine private hire area.
Inspired by the opium culture of Paris and New York, the venue wants to emulate that sense of opulence and fun. Staff are dressed in traditional Cantonese cheongsams and the interiors mirror the lavishness of vintage opium dens with velvet seating and brocade curtains. Food is inspired by China and Asia with dishes such as Jasmine tea smoked pork ribs and Buddha dumplings.
Cocktails have a distinctive taste of 'The Orient' with ingredients such as passion fruit and lychee making a prominent appearance. 'Shanghai Alley' is made from tequila, maraschino cherry syrup, rice syrup, fresh grapefruit and fresh lime.
