What they say:
Setting up shop in Exmouth Market, Panzo is the latest Italian eatery to open in this thriving area. Hoping to please all its guests, the restaurant will use fresh ingredients and authentic spices when creating their bases and sauce, topping each with a selection of vegetables, meats and flavoursome drizzles. Inspired by traditional panuozzo sandwiches, the chefs use lievito madre sourdough to ensure each slice has a crispy, light base. This new restaurant certainly aims to bring the homely, traditional tastes of Naples over to London's diverse streets.
What we say:
The concept on offer at Panzo has been tested and proven, and looks likely, in our humble opinions, to make a splash in its new Exmouth Market digs. In recent years, the area has been flooded with artisan cafes, rustic restaurants and inventive breweries; something tells us Panzo will comfortably fit into this circle. Though the pizzas are a sure thing, it's the other items on the menu that's caught our eyes. From the bowls of fresh salads produced on a daily basis, to the traditional desserts and mezzo plates, Panzo is much more than just pizza. Though only time will tell as to whether this Neapolitan themed experiment sticks in London, given the city's fascination with diversity and exploring new flavours, we're silently confident.
