What they say:
Having conquered Soho with their former brothel venue and big cuts of meat, Blacklock has set its sights on the City, opening a second venue in a grade-II listed former electricity substation. With space for 100 covers, the new restaurant will be bigger and have its own set of cuts such as a maple bacon chop and roasted and smoked chicken served with two Yorkshire pancakes.
What we say:
With wine on tap, one of London's best roasts and cocktails for under a fiver, it's no surprise that Blacklock is a roaring success. Thankfully for us, they're expanding their brilliant idea out to the City, only this time they're going bigger and fancier. The new venue will have a separate cocktail bar, as well as a cocktail trolley roaming round to serve you their delicious tipples. Top it off with a selection of starters exclusive to the City outpost and a historic venue, and we have a feeling the new Blacklock will prove just as popular as the original.
