What they say:
Using Norfolk-sourced, free-range chickens and American cooking methods and sauces, Randy's Wing Bar has quickly established itself as a Hackney must-visit. Now, founders Richard and Andy are opening a second venue in the City, near Aldgate. Expect the usual deliciousness which established their name, such as loaded fries and buffalo wings with truffle blue cheese, with delicious extras including takeaway burgers and salads to appeal to the lunchtime crowd. Drinks are also getting a shake-up as Stu Bale (man behind Hix and 69 Colebrook Row's cocktail menus) is creating a fresh and boozy menu that will no doubt vibe on the American theme.
What we say:
Lunchtime in the City is getting a new player as Randy's Wing Bar jumps over to Aldgate with a second venue of the popular American restaurant. As well as those saucy wings, the spot will be serving a few new specials; think baked oysters, loaded fries and chicken burgers. Drinks look similarly as good, with a list which includes tipples such as Randy Russian (Absolut vodka, Kahlua and chocolate milk) and Hand Grenade Old Fashioned (Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Barley Sugars and Bitters); Randy's Wing Bar for lunch and dinner - why the hell not?
