The Chicago Rib Shack is a smokey-BBQ joint located within a few short strides of Clapham High Street and Clapham North stations. It's a venue that can trace its roots way back to 1982, when founder Bob Payton dropped anchor in Knightsbridge. Drop by Voltaire Road today and you'll find a bustling restaurant and cocktail bar specialising in Applewood smoked ribs, succulent burgers and chicken. Pulled pork is heavily involved too, and there's a range of Americana-inspired smaller plates and side dishes to consider.
You'll need something tasty to wash dinner down with, and Chicago Rib Shack is blessed with a varied and interesting drinks cabinet. The wine list is global; featuring bottles plucked from South Africa, Europe, the USA and Uruguay among a host of other nations.
