Description
Slated to open just next door to its slightly-less-edgy older sibling, The Dairy, Counter Culture will bring a naughty twist to the culinary scene of Clapham. The new restaurant, which owners consider a 'San Sebastian pinxtos bar' will offer the fresh ingredients that patrons have come to expect from The Dairy, served with just a tad more flair.
Diners can expect an up close and personal experience at Counter Culture; considering the space is only 15-seats large, and patrons will be facing the kitchen as their meals are prepared. If patrons prefer to stand, though, the traditional pinxtos bar will offer some wiggle room to enjoy their delectable treats on foot.
Menu highlights include hot smoked lamb ribs and St. Martin Bay mackerel, but overall, Counter Culture will focus on seasonal picklings, fermenting, aging, curing, and bottling. A truly unique feature, however, is the invitation to submit recipes that could become part of the menu in the future, making Counter Culture an absolutely interactive, cultural experience.
