Fronting the holy trinity of 'pizza, beats, brews', the latest concept to take over Lower Clapton favourite The Elephant's Head is turning the Hackney watering hole into much more than a spot for a few sunshine sips. Master slice slingers Firezza have teamed up with darlings of the London pizza scene, Santa Maria, to bring you A Slice of Blue.

While both pizzerias have seen huge success with their menus to date, this latest collaboration is pushing things in a more plant-based direction. Alongside a selection of meat and dairy boasting numbers, A Slice of Blue will offer a more extensive line-up of the vegan pizzas that have become mainstays on Santa Maria's West London menus - think pumpkin cream bases covered in fresh rocket and grilled courgettes, and folded pizzas stuffed with peppers, olives and aubergines.

As for washing down that dough, these guys seem to have sussed that nothing pairs with pizza like a good brew, so they'll be laying on a drinks offering of on-tap and bottled craft beer.
