28-50 (the wine bar group, not a new railcard) is set to open a huge new Covent Garden venue next year, following on from success at their current home in Marylebone.
This new restaurant, a 280-cover space on Upper St Martin’s Lane, is likely to follow the blueprint of its sister site, which boasts over 30 wines served by the glass, and a crack team of in-house sommeliers on hand to advise on great-tasting grapes and perfect pairings.
Founded by chef Aggi Sverisson and sommelier Xavier Rousset back in 2010, it’s looking like the menu here will be made up of premium European dishes, ranging from towering seafood platters to aged steaks, served straight from the grill.
In other words, the perfect West End spot for wining and dining to your heart's content.
