Description
Named after of the 19th Century's most notorious party queens, Cora Pearl is the second restaurant from the team behind the much-lauded Kitty Fisher's.
Located in the heart of Covent Garden, the 60-cover restaurant sits over two floors of a historic Henrietta Street townhouse, decked out in parquet flooring, upholstered wall panels and vintage lights. The menu draws inspiration from both British and French cuisine - the countries where Cora spent most of her life.
You'll find an eclectic range of dishes being prepared in the restaurant's open kitchen, with bar snacks alongside daily specials and mains that feature plates such as confit pork belly with smoked quince, and a brill and devilled crab dish - not to mention fabulous Sunday roasts. Desserts too have a distinctly cross-Channel 19th Century twist to them, as you'll find Earl Grey ice cream accompanied by frozen sablé and wild strawberries.
The cocktails are a less than conventional selection with the house cocktail, the Chaine d’Or, comprised of gin, Quinquina, Chartreuse and lime, while the wine list revolves around Old World offerings served by the bottle or on tap, alongside older vintages and reserve-list options.
