What they say:
The second site from the team behind Soho's highly popular Le Bab, Maison Bab is the latest addition to Covent Garden's new Mercers Walk development. The brainchild of Stephen Tozer and Ed Brunet, the 40-cover restaurant will be serving up the same style of modern kebabs and mezze that made its sister site such a success, but has the added benefit of a ten-seater chef's table. Located in the restaurant's basement-level, this private hire area will let diners watch head chef, Manu Canales Garces - formerly of Le Gavroche - at work.
What we say:
The sister site to Soho kebab spot Le Bab, this 40-seater eatery is bringing some very cool and casual dining to Covent Garden. Serving up a rotating range of house special kebabs, the restaurant offers a twist on the authentic kebab house experience, with menu options including a vegan slow-grilled celeriac shish with carrot puree and crispy onions, and an indulgent and meaty onglet kebab with green peppercorn mayonnaise and watercress. If you work or live in the Covent Garden area there's even more cause for celebration as the restaurant will also be offering takeaways and delivery.
