Following an acclaimed residency at Kensal Rise's Borough Wines last year, chef Oded Oren is bringing his much-loved cooking to east London. Setting up shop on Shacklewell Lane, his self-titled Oren draws inspiration from Israel and the Middle East, with a focus on local and sustainable produce.

Transforming the building that was once home to Floyd’s, Oren is giving a new lease of life to the east London space with cast iron fittings and vintage lighting. When it comes to the food, expect an extensive and ever-changing menu of sharing plates taking you from lunch to dinner and even brunch. 

We've got our eyes on ox cheek and hummus made using tahini from Mount Gerizim, grilled lamb sweetbreads with za’atar and a cardamom panna cotta. As for the libations? Keep watered with wines that have been carefully selected by award-winning writer and wine consultant Zeren Wilson, aka Bitten & Written.
