Description
Inspired by one of the wildest and compelling frontiers of central Asia, this Fitzrovia restaurant is one of the first to represent the traditional cuisine of Uzbekistan.
Named after one of the ancient Silk Road cities, Samarkand, this exquisite food venture is a modern interpretation of authentic dishes. Jizbiz (lamb chops with sauteed potatoes), Somsa (pastry parcel filled with lamb or sweet potato) and Plov (fried rice with lamb and veg) are all on the menu.
Designed with grandeur, a dramatic entryway and staircase leads down into the dining space clad with chandeliers. Samarkand also features a mezzanine lounge bar sporting an extensive collection of Vodka. The venue promises to host a unique and vibrant dining experience drawing influence from the rich heritage of the Sill Road trade routes.
