Ever wondered what a deconstructed deep-fried Mars Bar would taste like? Fancy trying grown-up beans on toast? Now's your chance because experimental restaurant Six by Nico has finally landed in London, bringing its quirky tasting menus along for the ride. Helmed by Scottish chef Nico Simeone, the concept originated in Glasgow in 2017 and has quickly taken cities like Manchester, Liverpool and Edinburgh by storm.
A unique culinary dining experience, each 6-course menu lasts for 6 weeks and draws inspiration from a certain destination, memory or idea. Themes have included the Orient Express, a Mad Hatter's Tea Party and Route 66, with a taste of the Alps (think raclette fondue and coconut snowballs) on current regional menus.
And for the Big Smoke? Londoners will be kicking things off with The Chippie. There's even a veggie version of the menu, with vegan substitutes too. Keeping things cheap? You can certainly stick to 6-courses priced at a modest £35, though the foodie favourite hasn't forgotten about drinks and will have wine pairings available.
