What they say:
The big flavours of the Deep South are finally making their way to South West London as Stagolee's opens in Fulham. The venue will be all about that dreamy, American comfort food, bringing dishes fresh-cooked everyday like baked macaroni and cheese, hot spinach dip with cheese and artichoke, and skillet-fried chicken, brined in buttermilk. These recipes combine the owner's past culinary experiences in New York with her grandmother's old recipes to create an authentic, southern taste, while the atmosphere and walls adorned with old portraits of people dancing, drinking and eating will bring the the Deep South vibe.
What we say:
Is it possible to have everything you love about southern American flavours in one venue? Well, Stagolee's are giving it a good go: big American comfort food? Check! Bourbon? Check! And… moonshine? Also, check! This might just become your new favourite drink, as it’s moonshine that’s taking centre stage here, having been imported from Kentucky and used to create some interesting cocktails. Expect to be sipping on a Mountain-rita – a moonshine margarita – or a sweet Vanilla MoonPire Moonshine cocktail while you nibble on chicken wings.
