- Farmopolis On The Jetty
Description
On Friday, 18th November Farmopolis Café launched Floating Table, an incredible new series of communal feasts set in the unique floating garden on the Jetty at Greenwich Peninsula.
Finnish-born Puolakka is one of London’s best-loved chefs, renowned for her Nordic-style cooking combined with French culinary techniques, honed over her long and illustrious career. Helena has worked with Pierre Gagnaire in Paris and was the Head Chef at Pierre Koffmann’s La Tante Claire prior to becoming Executive Chef at Skylon for D&D London Restaurants and, more recently, the Culinary Director of Cirrus Inns/ Epicurean Collection, a luxury pub company and Company of Cooks, whose portfolio includes the Royal Opera House, National Portrait Gallery and Royal Academy. Helena’s next project sees her returning to D&D to launch Aster in early 2017 at the new Nova development in Victoria.
Floating Table will take place from November to January. Each chef will create a stunning sharing feast served on long communal tables and surrounded by thousands of plants and trees rehomed from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show earlier this year. With the iconic Thames riverside as a backdrop and space limited to 60 diners, Floating Table promises to be one of the best dining experiences of the festive season in London.
Helping all Floating Table chefs will be trainee chefs from Café from Crisis, a social training enterprise.
