Description
Former band member and Le Bun co-founder, Andy Taylor is adding another string to his bow with the opening of casual restaurant Carte Blanche in Hackney.
Inspired travels around the world, Taylor has created a menu that merges French and American flavours, for refined comfort food. Dishes include the likes of oysters with caviar hollandaise and maple bacon, as well as pork jowls with smoked beets and butter. Drinks are similarly as eclectic, with a selection of natural wines sourced from small-scale producers, and cocktails such as French Negroni and Buerre Noisette Whisky Sour.
Interiors will be a stripped back affair, with the 50-cover restaurant separated between a simple dining room and bar. Print-based, abstract art will hang on the walls and there will be wooden stools surrounding the bars for those only looking to drink.
