Mick's Garage is a 500-cover eating and drinking complex in Hackney Wick, brought to you from the same team behind CRATE brewery. This renovated garage space boasts a coffee roastery & espresso bar, a new Middle Eastern smokehouse (run by the same people behind Haggerston's Berber & Q), and London's first ever fermented tea bar. The space will host a roster of live acts and DJs as well as a number of pop-up and supper club events.
What we say:
CRATE has set the benchmark for quality craft beer and excellent pizza (we love pizza), so we're happy to see them expanding with Mike's Garage. This new spot is actually located just a stones throw away from the original site, but it'll boast a completely different vibe. It's a much a larger space, and having joined forces with Berber & Q, it boasts more 'cultured' wares than what you'd find at CRATE pizzeria and brewery. Head down to this new spot and you'll probably find us sampling a cup of fermented tea (from London's first ever fermented tea bar!) whilst shoving a smoked chicken shawarma down our chops!
