Description
The husband and wife team behind the popular Moro and Morito restaurants have expanded their brand, opening a third restaurant on Hackney Road.
Morito the second offers something new as well as a few familiar trademarks of the existing restaurants, which have made a name for themselves thanks to the delectable mix of tapas and mezze plates fronting ingredients that you often can’t find elsewhere in London.
Samantha heads up operations at the latest Morito alongside Marianna Love - the former head chef at Moro - and the venue opens to serve fresh Moroccan breads at breakfast as well as tapas and family-sized plates for lunch and dinner. Guests can count on feasting on the best produce sourced from southern Spain and north Africa, with a considered wine list from Spain and Portugal as well as sherry and vermouth to drink.
The interiors are characterised by the horseshoe shaped marble bar, the handmade pottery and the large windows which create a light, airy space close to Columbia Road Flower Market.
