Description
This London Fields locale has a taste for sustainability.
The Field is the latest venture from Nik Williamson - the brain's behind Victoria's Porridge Cafe - who has has joined forces with chef Ryan Petty for this restaurant based in Hackney's creative space Fount London. The vibe is casual and relaxed, with healthy lunch bowls during the day, carefully crafted dinner menus that change weekly and bottomless brunch at the weekend.
The plant-based menu allows you to add meat and fish to selected courses. If you go for surf n turf, expect seaweed, cooked with mushrooms, sea purslane, celeriac and olive, with the option to add line caught hake on the bone for £5. The perfect spot for a first date, or group meal with mates - especially if you mix with carnivores and herbivores. Expect local beers, craft brews and a vegan-friendly wine list.
