There aren't that many barbecue restaurants opened by famous DJs in London, but Austen's Smokehouse is just that. Created by DJ Yoda, the Southern-inspired eatery tries to bring the heat of the Deep South to the thriving streets of Kensal Rise. Austen's is equipped with a classic pit barbecue and hopes to put a big, Joker-esque barbecue smile on all its customer's faces.
What we say:
Austen's Smokehouse finds itself well at home on Chamberlayne Road in Kensal Rise, an area of London that simply seems to be going from strength to strength. Serving the dishes in line with the traditions of the Deep South helps to maintain the venues authenticity, and by having DJ Yoda set the restaurant's mood seems to be a winning combination. Most exciting is their New Orleans style brunch menu, packed full of the same flavour and exuberance that's come to be associated with life on Bourbon Street.
