What they say:

Having featured in London's biggest street food markets and set up shop all across the capital, the team at Rola Wala are now pulling the handbrake on their food truck, having set up a permanent restaurant in Spitalfields. Based on Brushfield Street, the new restaurant serves the same Indian dishes that made the food truck such a success. Each plate is made using at least 43 different ingredients and has a base of rice, masala noodles, charred broccoli or the team's special sourdough naan.

What we say:

The Rola Wala transformation from a pop-up food truck to a permanent restaurant is part of a familiar trend that we've seen across London over the past few years. It seems the capital's pop-up maestros now fancy themselves as seasoned restauranteurs. The food menu at Rola Wala is bound to succeed with its 'build-your-own-dish' structure, serving toppings such as Bengali beef brisket, fiery Nagaland lamb and Keralan black chickpeas, alongside a range of sweet and savoury chutneys. But what will be crucial is if the team can take their pop-up food vibes and fit them into a more 'sit-down' dinner setting.
