Legare is a new concept from ex-Trullo chef Matt Beardmore and Jay Patel, formerly of Koya and Barrafina. Opening in London Bridge this autumn, the eatery promises to bring beloved seasonal food and flavours from across Italy and the Mediterranean to the heart of London.
The diverse menu features an ever-changing selection of antipasti and pasta, utilising the seafood, sun-ripened veg and fresh fruit from across the country, from handpicked local suppliers. Dishes include homemade pasta such as orecchiette with fennel sausage and Swiss chard ragu, stracci with crab, chilli, garlic, saffron and pangrattato, as well as the whole large Scottish lobster taglierini to share. There’s also fresh oysters, signature cannoli with seasonal fillings and a weekly specials board to explore.
To wash it down? Take a pick from the curated menu of drinks, including natural wines and rare bottles from neighbouring countries, with a selection available to purchase and take home. Pair these with the pastel blue interior and the restaurant's riverside location and you’ve got a full Italian fantasy.
