What they say:

Having worked in prestigious kitchens across Europe, Chef Leandro Carreira is settling down in London Bridge, opening his first permanent restaurant just off Bermondsey Street. Called Londrino, the fine-dining restaurant will serve Portugues dishes from Carreira youth that have all been cooked through the eyes of a chef living in London. As such, each traditional recipe will be twisted out of shape, using seasonal British ingredients and intriguing flavours. To help make a splash, the team have pulled in expert sommelier Cameron Dewar to curate a wine menu that perfectly complements each dish.

What we say:

Chef Carreira's impressive resume speaks for itself; starting off in Northern Spain with Andoni Luis Aduriz, he moved to London to work with Nuno Mendes in Hackney, before a stint at Koya with Junya Yamasaki and Shuko Oda. Given that, we know his recipes are going to hit the mark. Details are thin on the ground at the moment, but Carreira has said that his menu will marry traditional aspects of Portuguese cuisine with Britain's more creative culinary side. Always changing and experimenting, we think this restaurant's never-ending desire to push boundaries will serve it well.
