Description
Run by Edson Diaz-Fuentes and his wife Natalie, Santo Remedio serves up authentic Mexican food, inspired by the cantinas and mezcalerias of Mexico City.
From the street food staples - tacos, tostadas and aguachiles - to larger dishes like their bone-in short rib in mole negro, the menu draws on the huge regional variation in ingredients and technique. A true exploration of the Mexican cuisine, the South London eatery has bright interiors and a bar to match, decorated with a dazzling array of Mexican artisan goods, and serving up a mean Margarita.
Between the restaurant, lounge area downstairs and dedicated Mezcaleria upstairs, Santo Remedio boasts a wide range of premium mezcal and tequila, as well as classic cocktails with a twist, such as their ever-popular hibiscus margarita.
