What they say:
Tom Aikens has let London gorge on his gastro goods, but this new venture is all about the deli and drinks as the famed chef opens a rooftop bar and snacking plot by one of the most recognisable and famed boats in UK history. Setting course for the HMS Belfast, this London Bridge retreat is set to boast sarnies, and a 58 cover rooftop bar this coming March.
What we say:
I've never been on the HMS Belfast myself, but after a dangerous slip on a submarine in Chatham when I was 11, I can safely (or unsafely) say that this is a really unique venture for drinking in London. Not only is this bar set to sip alongside a second world war boat, but Tom Aikens is a laddie with the luxury of foodie fame under his belt, making sure that this is going to be one of the most interesting places to dine and drink alongside the Thames.
