What they say:
With two successful restaurants already under their belts, Michael and Adrian Daniel expand their vegetarian empire, opening a third restaurant in London's sleek Marylebone area. Inspired by the home-cooked meals their grandmother used to make them, The Gate franchise has focused on traditional recipes and plates up dishes that celebrates their Indo-Iraqi Jewish background. With the likes of three lentil pate terrine and Miso glazed baked aubergine on the vibrant menu, guests should expect to find a selection of home cooked dishes, each showcasing the best flavour combinations from the Indian and Arabian worlds, and each boasting subtle European undertones.
What we say:
If anyone knows what it takes to open a successful vegetarian restaurant, it's these two brothers. Effortlessly riding the wave of interest in all things vegan and vegetarian, the duo have pleased Londoners with their home-cooked fusion dishes for years. And in all honesty, there's nothing to say this new spot won't be a big hitter. High standards of cooking are of course a given, and by combining various culinary influences from a variety of different countries, the restaurant will champion two things that London loves; diversity and exotic flavours. We'll be first in line when the doors open in December.
