What they say:
With names such as Wagamama, Duck and Waffle and Hakkassan under his belt, Alan Yau knows a thing or two about the restaurant business. After hanging up his gloves, the restaurateur is back with a new little eatery in the heart of London's shopping district. Moments away from Bond Street tube station, Yamabahçe is a simple affair with a 'mono-product' menu, serving only Pide - a Turkish flatbread that is similar to pizza.
What we say:
While it's sad to see the Creperie close after 38 years, Yamabahçe, which has taken its place, is an exciting new addition to central London. The restaurant only serves Pide, a traditional Turkish flatbread. This isn't the first time Alan Yau has turned his attention to the dish, in 2015 he opened Babaji Pide, which served the pizza-like food alongside other Turkish sides.
