Description
The world's most expensive restaurant?
Since opening in late 2022, Bacchanalia has been on the lips of every Londoner, and for plenty of good reason. This next-level Mayfair restaurant - that's owned by none other than Caprice Holdings (think Balthazar, The Ivy and Sexy Fish), is inspired by Greek and Roman mythology with hand-painted ceiling murals, sculptures of Medusa and the men’s loos are meant to represent Hades’ underworld. It's been noted as a great date night in London if you want something a little bit different. They have waiters in togas, there's an in-house grape-feeder and an abundance of photo opps for anyone who walks through their doors.
From huge oyster starters to lobster-feasting plates, menus are a truly decadent affair. Bacchanalia is open for lunch and dinner and come Sunday they have a special brunch menu with truffle-laced dishes and egg-topped pizza. Cocktails are just as impressive with signature libations inspired by Greece and its mythology. From butter-washed vodka to Greek yoghurt, you’ll find all manner of ingredients in their arsenal.
