What they say:
The third restaurant from Chef Patron Mark Jarvis after Mayfair's Neo Bistro and Clerkenwell's Anglo, Stem is set to land in Mayfair this Spring. Serving up seasonal modern British cuisine, Jarvis has brought on former Anglo head-chef Sam Ashton-Booth to head up the Stem kitchen, serving up and eclectic mix of plates that range from pineapple with olive oil, salt and lime to smoked eel with celeriac and white chocolate. Set over two levels, the venue is split between a ground floor dining area, seating 35, and a lower ground floor Chef's table private dining area seating just six.
What we say:
Stem is the newest venture from Mark Jarvis whose existing restaurants, Anglo and Neo Bistro, have proved storming successes. Taking tips from the sister sites, the Stem menu will be a culinary adventure with smoked eel and white chocolate sharing the same plate in one instance, and pigeon climbing into bed with coconut and salted peanuts. The latest addition to the Mayfair dining scene, this modern British restaurant sits just off Regent Street, a few minutes away from Neo Bistro. Design-wise, this 35-cover restaurant is said to be decked out in dark tiling and granite table-tops, with the added flair of a verdant living wall.
