Chet's

Located on the ground floor of The Hoxton in Shepherd's Bush is Chet's, a Thai-American restaurant combining the fragrant flavours of Thailand with 'LA cool' and American-style dining.

Aesthetically, it's an Instagrammer's dream, fronting soft, coral interiors reminiscent of an Art Deco lounge, slinky brown leather booths (that each come with a linen curtain for privacy) and golden orbs of light dangling from the ceiling. Scattered around the room are potted plants adding bursts of green, while a gorgeous back-lit bar is at its core and an open kitchen gleams from the back. 

The innovative menu comes from cult chef Kris Yenbamroong, who's behind the popular American NIGHT + MARKET restaurants spanning three locations along Venice Beach. On the weekend, there's an incredibly enticing brunch menu featuring banana French toast and the eatery's signature Bodega sandwich, filled with sai uah sausage and umami ketchup.

Then, come the evening, the iconic pineapple rice is available to share, which features the fruit sliced in half and used as a vehicle for the flavoursome grain. Chilli hot dogs, green curries and yellow miso aubergine are also on the menu, followed by an 'Everything But The Kitchen Sink Sundae' for dessert. 

Last, but my no means least, its cocktail menu is a thing of beauty: Holy Chet! is a must-try, made up of Martini Ambrato and Ostara Hedgerow, plus the Campari-based Pet Sounds is a winner, too.
