Bubala is a Middle Eastern restaurant in Spitalfields that started off as a series of pop-ups and supper clubs across the capital. The Commercial Street site is the first permanent site for the Middle Eastern restaurant, which serves an exclusively vegetarian menu.
Taking inspiration from the cafes of Lebanon and Tel Aviv, Bubala offers its diners bold flavours from re-imagined traditional dishes. This includes sliced, salted and deep-fried aubergine, cabbage braised in dried mushroom stock with pomegranate molasses and plenty more. To wash it down, a selection of cocktails, Middle Eastern bottles and house wines on tap from Uncharted Wines.
