What they say:
Louis Solley (former head chef at Ottolenghi) and Hugo Thurston (ex Morito GM) have united to create Jago; a laidback restaurant and bar just off Brick Lane. It’ll throw its doors open in November to unleash a world of Mediterranean and Ashkenazi fare on east London’s population, with guests good to eat in or takeaway depending on preference. Munch your way through salads and grilled dishes, washed down the hatch with craft beers, wines and cocktails.
What we say:
Who wants one type of cuisine when you can pick between three? Blurring the culinary boundaries between southern Europe and the Middle East, there’s all sorts of tasty treats to look forward to at Jago. Obviously we’ll be in to check out the boozy options too, with their carefully curated list of cocktails turning heads especially.
