What they say:
Pizza Pilgrims are opening their fifth permanent residency in Shoreditch High Street. The venue is known for its delicious Neapolitan pizzas and laid back atmosphere, with offerings as salami (black pepper salami with cheese) to the more adventurous Portobello mushroom & truffle – white pizza with Portobello mushrooms, fior di latte, parmesan & truffle oil. The interior is decked out like a classic pizzeria, but with their distinct bold green colours juxtaposing against the whites both on the tableclothes and walls, which will also be adorned with customer-drawn pizza box art.
What we say:
Pizza is one of the great unifiers of men, much like laughter and getting annoyed about trains, so having more great pizza in Shoreditch can only be a good thing. But it’s not just pizza that the Pilgrims are focused on: calzones are on the menu, but so is the opportunity to get your favourite chocolate bars ‘calzonified’ – which involves wrapping it in dough and baking it. Imagine that when you’re hungover. While there’s no bar on site, they operate a bring your own booze policy that, overall, makes a trip to Pizza Pilgrims a very affordable night out. Praise be to the pizza Gods!
