What they say:
Named directly after a pirate radio station in Bologna that transmitted in the 1970s, Radio Alice Pizzeria is the latest name to take restaurant foothold in the heart of Hoxton. Brought to the East London square by brothers Salvatore and Matteo Aloe, who have already seen success with five other restaurants in Italy, Radio Alice will provide rustic and artisanal pizzas that boast toppings the likes of speck, honey, fiordilatte, walnuts and prosciutto di Parma.
What we say:
I was reading an article this morning about the success of a new restaurant in London coming down to its insistence on simplicity. You only need to look on Radio Alice's website to see that simplicity could be key to their dining premise, as they describe their venue in two simple points: it's a pizza restaurant, and it's named after a pirate radio station in Bologna. Success for a pizza restaurant in the heart of Hoxton? I can see that working.
