What they say:
With two-Michelin stars already under his built, Chef Simon Rogan is taking on a new culinary challenge, opening what has to be London's smallest restaurant later in the year. Aulis will be based in a secret Central London location and will cater for a maximum of 8 diners at a time. Following the pattern of Rogan's flagship restaurant L'Enclume in Cumbria, Aulis will act as the development kitchen for the chef's newest venture Roganic. Creating dishes during the day while stunning diners at night, everyone that takes a seat at the Aulis table will sample a tasting menu, where each dish has been matched with a complementing glass of wine.
What we say:
This part-development kitchen, part-cosy restaurant combination is something we're seeing more and more from Britain's world-famous chefs. Spots like Aulis offer guests an intimate, exclusive dining experience where they get to enjoy experimental plates that haven't even made it onto London's culinary scene. Details are wafer-thin at present but we are certain the food will be amazing. Sourcing seasonal ingredients from his own farm in Cumbria or from Britain's best suppliers, Rogan's farm-to-table concept has already secured him two-Michelin stars. The sky's the limit, be sure to keep an ear out for the Aulis name.
