Description
Soho’s first restaurant dedicated to gourmet meatballs has opened on Greek Street. It’s called Balls & Company, and is the handy-work of Australian Masterchef finalist Bonny Porter. The goal is to propel the humble meatball towards greatness, and they do this by serving five varieties that you won’t have tried before. Lock lips with the Waygu Beef serving or tuck into some Confit Salmon, with veggies catered for in the form of the Quinoa, Beetroot and Feta balls. Sweet treats like the Persian Fairy Floss Brownie are part of a small but neatly-formed dessert menu.
Once you’re done at the dinner table you’ll want to dash downstairs, where the venue’s attractive basement bar sorts the post feast cocktails. There’s a good range of wine here too, and a choice of white, red and rose Sangria if you fancy a jug. There’s a laid-back, take-your-time feel to this place, with interiors featuring more than the occasional nod to Porter’s native Australia.
