What they say:
Breddos Tacos has been seducing Londoners with their Mexican cuisine since they opened their taco shack in Hackney back in 2011, followed by a restaurant in Shoreditch. Things show no sign of slowing down as the group has just opened its second venue, this time in Soho. Taking over the spot formerly occupied by Shotgun, the Kingly Court restaurant is double the size of their first outpost with space for 84 covers and a secretive downstairs mezcal and tequila bar.
What we say:
Using British producers to create delicious Mexican dishes such as hot crab tostada with cucumber escabeche, it's no surprise that Breddos Tacos has been so popular. The new restaurant sounds like it will be just as successful as it includes a special oven for making Mexican pizzas, known as tlayudas, and there is also a wood-grill and charcoal spit for meat and veg. The basement bar is open until late and serves a selection of margarita and mezcal cocktails along with stocking unusual bottles of Mexican spirits.
