Description
From chef Tomas Parry and the group that brought you Brat and Brat x Climpsons Arch comes Moutain on Beak Street, Soho, the third restaurant from the team that also happens to have a Michelin star to its name.
It's a wood grill and wine bar that's inspired by Tomas's time travelling across Spain; using local ingredients and sourcing fish and meat from farmers in Wales and Cornwall, it focuses on cooking over charcoal grills, serving sharing plates with wines supplied by Noble Rot's Keeling and Andrew.
The restaurant is spread over multiple floors, featuring a counter bar made from English elm and pretty, soft pendant lighting. The basement is perfect for an intimate meal whereas the ground-floor dining space has an extra buzz to it, thanks to the open kitchen.
Look forward to oaky, smoky flavours in the form of mackerel with grilled peas, Dover sole, langoustine and sides including smoked potatoes and bitter leaves with anchovy. For dessert, there are picks of pecan choux buns, custard ensaimada with rhubarb, and torrija alongside grilled strawberries, washed down with shiso and manzanilla spritzes, or a salt lemon gin and tonic.
